Interview : Not a chance encounter

Lately, I have been appearing for interviews ever since I decided to quit my current job and make a switch. Having gone through quite a few of these, I would only like to say that each encounter exposes me to something unprecedented.

It could be the way the person is walking towards me or the first greeting I am addressed with. I have come to realise that these are the two primary pointers that give you the heads up about how things are going to turn out. However, sometimes these pointers turn out to be hoaxes!

In this piece, I would like to share my feelings for the people representing Human Resources. At the very outset, I think if the Harry Potter wizardry inspired anyone, it’s them!

Here is a little dedication:

You search through the heap,

You scout for the best piece,

You manage to ring the bells,

“Oh! Stop sugaring! I will get diabetes!

You invite me to your den,

Asking, “Dear, do you feel at ease?”

You snack me up and sit me down,

The interview begins, say cheese!

Three hours of interrogation,

All I was left with were the confused smiles,

Was it frustration or did I have a question?

“I choose you!” said Dumbledore in his style.

You didn’t pick my calls,

It’s not me.. It’s you!” was something that I could hear,

You wouldn’t check your mails,

You finally wore the ‘cloak of invisibility’, Cheers!
